Muistokarttatyöpaja sunnuntaina 30.3. klo 14-17 Kulttuuritila Merirastissa
Olet lämpimästi jakamaan paikallistietoa ja tutkimaan Meri-Rastilaan sitoutuneita muistoja! Arkkitehtuuripraktiikka Vokal järjestää ohjatun työpajan, jossa toteutamme osallistujien kanssa karttoja Meri-Rastilan sosiaalisesta elämästä.
Mistä löytyvät Meri-Rastilan parhaat lenkkipolut? Missä sijaitsi asukastila Fokka? Mitä muistoja Haruspuiston leikkipaikat voisivat kertoa ennen kuin ne mullistetaan tulevaisuudessa?
Muistokartan teko ei vaadi aiempaa osaamista ja soveltuu kaikenikäisille. Työpajassa tarjotaan ohjeistusta sekä tarvittavat materiaalit.
Voit saapua työpajaan kun sinulle sopii ja osallistua haluamaksesi ajaksi. Tilaisuudessa tarjolla myös virvokkeita.
Muistokarttatyöpaja on jatkoa Muistojen Meri-Rastila -projektille, joka taltioi mullistusten edessä olevan naapuruston paikallistietoa. Vaikka purkavaa kaupunkiuudistusta ei voitaisi enää pysäyttää, voidaan taltioida paikkoihin sitoutunutta tietoa. Nämä tarinat muistuttavat jo olemassa olevan säilyttämisen tärkeydestä. Tapahtumassa kertynyttä tietoa sekä muistokarttoja esitellään myöhemmin vuoden 2025 aikana näyttelyn muodossa.
Kannustamme tilaisuuteen saapuvia myös tuomaan mukanaan valokuvia, lehtileikkeitä tai muita muistoesineitä Meri-Rastilasta. Perehdymme näihin osallistujien kanssa työpajassa.

We warmly invite you to join us in sharing local knowledge and reflecting on the memories embedded in the Meri-Rastila neighborhood. On Sunday, March 30th Architecture practice Vokal will host a memory map workshop from 2pm to 5pm in Culture Space Merirasti. In the guided workshop we will produce maps together with the participants, showcasing the social life of the Meri-Rastila neighborhood.
Where are the best jogging paths in Meri-Rastila? Where was the neighborhood café Fokka located? What memories could the play equipment of Haruspuisto tell before they are renewed in the future?
The map making does not require prior knowledge and is suitable for participants of all ages. We will provide all needed materials in the workshop.
You can arrive when it suits you and participate for as long a duration as you want. Refreshments are served in the event.
This event is a continuation of the Geography of Memories project, aiming to capture the values embedded in the neighborhood undergoing significant transformations. Your participation is highly valued as we embark on this journey to preserve and share the rich history and experiences of Meri-Rastila. The insights gathered during the event will be presented later in 2025 through an exhibition.
We encourage participants to bring with them photos, newspaper clips and other memorabilia of Meri-Rastila. We will delve into these stories with the participants at the workshop.
